St. Francis Borgia Youth Ministry is an extension of PRE for grades 9-12. Jeff & Darla, our Youth Ministry leaders, provide a comprehensive focus that is consistent with Catholic Church teachings.
Youth Ministry Mission
We seek to enhance the faith and catechesis of our youth with regard to building an authentic, real, and personal relationship with Jesus Christ; to encounter The Living God here in our present lives. We thirst for youth to discover and embrace this relationship, allowing the Holy Spirit to permeate their beings to live and share their faith courageously and without reservation in union with all of humanity.
We long to see our youth instilled with the true message of the same Kingdom of God that is at hand; that being the choice to unlock the heart from within and allow Christ our Lord to live in us and through us. By this mystery, we encourage our youth to become faithful servants of our Lord Jesus Christ through acts of charity, faith formation, and social interaction.
We acknowledge youthful hope and surrender to guide families to become the true domestic Church they were created to be. Therefore we aim to respond to youthful eagerness and interest in a way that opens a spring of hope for all to encounter the true essence of our Faith and ultimately He who is above all, our Abba, Father.
Youth Ministry Activities
In addition to our Parish Religious Education classes provided for grades 9-12, St. Francis Borgia has also welcomed the following high school activities as opportunities for youth to recognize in Christ the spiritual blessings they have received, to strengthen them, to share them, and to proclaim the Good News to all whom they encounter through their words and actions.
- NCYC (The National Catholic Youth Conference)
- CLI (Catholic Leadership Institute)
- Steubenville Conference
- Others: Totus Tuus, Skinny Bones, Angel Tree, Living Stations, Fundraisers, etc.
